Extended Sessions
No Hour-Long Sessions
And Not Just Once A MonthI specialize in complex and early childhood trauma, and have learned we often need significant blocks of time (2-4 hours a session) to fully engage in the therapeutic targeting and reprocessing of stored trauma.
Since switching to the Extended Sessions and Intensives model, I have seen remarkably satisfying results with my clients. This is why I no longer work within the hour-long sessions to address the pain of complex trauma, relational trauma and betrayal trauma.
Additionally, my experience has proven that 'front-loading' our work together is imperative. If you only want to attend once per month for 2 hours, we will never get the momentum needed to move forward.
This work is truly an investment of your time, emotional labor and money.
I have these boundaries in place to protect your investment.
Who Is A Candidate for Extended Sessions?
'Beginners': If you've never been to therapy, or have only been sporadically; I will likely recommend we start with weekly or bi-weekly sessions.
Those With Disconnection From Self & Others: If you have a hard time connecting with your feelings and your body, or if you've had a tendency to shut-down in your prior therapy efforts.
Those Who Want to Move Efficiently, But More Slowly: Sessions typically occur for 2-3 hours, weekly or bi-weekly. These sessions allow you to take breaks between reprocessing sessions, while still allowing us the time in-session to make significant strides.
